This is the
Arc and Line Cowl from Knit.wear Fall 2012. My yarn is some merino yarn by Tattersall Mills which I bought as a souvenir from my New Mexico vacation. My gauge is a bit finer than the pattern's gauge so I added a few stitches to the sides, and I did more vertical repeats. While I was knitting it, I kept thinking of it as the "underwear cowl" because of how it looks when flat. The Other Half says it looks like a pair of feminine
tighty whities.

Please don't feel offended Betty but to me it looks like a lightweight panty girdle. They all have very decorative designs down the middle. It does not resemble that when worn however!
Yay for cowls!!! I'm wearing one of my cowls (never blogged) much more this year than ever before because it's so dang cold outside. Love the style of yours ~ beautiful and so warm ~ enjoy :)
Thought I'd better mention (lest I sound mean-spirited) that I actually was considering making yours as it looks very graceful when worn. This particular issue of knit.wear is my favorite because even though I don't make 9/10 of what I list in my queue, it gives me heart to actually see many designs in one place that I would actually like to wear.
